Past projects:

The Fall 2008 Composer's Club met on October 11, 2008. Our guest was distinguished pianist and teacher, Dr. Robert Smith, from Fort Worth, Texas. Click on the thumbnails below to view the larger version of each photo.

  • Congratulations go to young composers Felicia He, Helen Chen, Jane He and Anisha Rathod! Each received “Superior Rating” for their piano compositions which were entered in the 2008 International Annual Composition Contest sponsored by the American College of Musicians, founded by Dr. Irl Allison, Sr.

  • Stars” by Felicia He, “The Land Beyond the Stars” by Helen Chen, “Sizzlin' Soda” by Jane He andAbout a Monkey” by Anisha Rathod were highly praised for their imagination, creativity and originality in the composition process. Each piece was evaluated by nationally/internationally regarded piano pedagogues, composers and music publishing editors. It was indeed a very high honor for each student to receive such validation and constructive comments from these teachers and composers.

  • CHECK THIS OUT!! Clavier's, Piano Explorer, March 2008 edition published Anisha Rathod's piano composition “About a Monkey” in the Music Corner section of this issue!! We submitted this piece in the fall of 2007 for publishing considerations as encouraged by the editors of Piano Explorer. Congratulations, Anisha!

  • The 4th Composer's Club meeting gathered on January, 26, 2008 to share and perform works that were assigned and designed to accomplish writing pieces within a specific length, time frame and within specific forms. Students who were involved in this project Meredith Bennett, Jane He, Helen Chen, Anisha Rathod, Felicia He and Justin Sui. Congratulations, once again, on accomplishing this goal of writing an original piano piece that included more “guidelines” in the composing process ….a huge success in creative and imaginative extra work!
  • Fall 2007 Composer's Club, “A Mini-Workshop” – Saturday, September 29, 2007, 4:00-6:00 p.m.
  • September 30, 2006 Inaugural Composer's Club Meeting:
